I have the following problem: when i go into hibernation in winXP everything works fine, 100% and power off! But when I power on my PC and Windows is starting, it doesnt resume from hibernation mode but restarts normally, so all data from before hibernation is lost. My 60GB-harddisk has one big NTFS-partition.

Standby is the one that keeps power to the ram etc. that is why it's not safe to go into standby then transport your laptop around still powered. hibernation rocks!
